Inspiration
Every once in a while I look to go through my books that sit on my shelf. Well, one such day, i recently did this. I took down "The Big Picture" by Stacy Julian and found an intriguing website she refers to.
for better life
This is such a handy website, handy as in at the click of a mouse, you will be inspired. Inspired by ordinary people, inspired by simplicity and inspired to change your world and how you live it. Take a look, be uplifted.

Christmas & Holiday Cards For Troops
It seems as though the spirit of giving is exponential during the Christmas/Holiday Season. And while we sit safely in our homes, warming by the fire with friends and family; many are fighting a tireless battle on terrorism. Fighting and educating, to continue to protect our freedom and those that are only beginning to know what it feels like to go to school for the very first time, vote in a ‘free’ election and so many more freedoms we take for granted here, on our homeland. While they are fighting overseas over the season, and loved ones seem so much further away, maybe we can provide them with a small comfort of home and love.
Scrap & Bean Inc. is therefore, starting its drive for Christmas Cards to send overseas to the troops.
From November 1st to December 1st we are collecting handmade Christmas and Holiday Cards for the troops overseas. In order for the cards to be received in time, we will not be able to accept any after December 1st.
Please feel free to leave a message of encouragement to the troops in the cards and please do not seal the card in an envelope, but attach an envelope with the card when dropping off at the store.
For every three handmade cards that are brought in at one time, a ballot will be given to be entered into a draw. The draw will be made at close on December 1st – the day ofour Christmas Open House.
Join Scrap & Bean in showing the troops that we truly do support them in ‘our’ battle for freedom.
