Layout

Ahh, the day is almost over. Some things to finish up before bed and posting this layout is one of them!
As an aside, I had such a nice compliment today, isn't it funny that we forget all too often about the compliments granted us in favour of the disdainful ones'?! Thanks Mandy for saying my site was great to look at.
Anyways, back to my word association from last week - spring!
For me, it was about our bunny last year. We have so many rabbits in our neighbourhood and from very young this rabbit would come to our backyard and sit for hours. We watched him change and grow until one day 'he' was gone. This is my ode to you, little rabbit: happy spring!

DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

I like this blog: DAILY DOSE OF IMAGERY. It is great to look at every once in a while for a different perspective of life and its surroundings. Sometimes, just for how someone else looks at the world or for me to look at the world differently - I go to this site. It is truly amazing how we all look at the world differently, through our eyes!

The Sketch Turns Into a Card

This week ends up being a card from last week's sketch. I am not sure if it is spring, or what, however, I have had such a desire to create cards of late. I used glossy paper, alcohol inks, paper flowers, ribbons and the slice machine to cut the 'edged note card.'

Word Association

I thought i would play with word association again - haven't done this one in a while. The word...
SPRING
What emotions, descriptions, pictures conjure spring?
Is it life? Green? Easter? Animals?
Whatever it is for you - create a layout based on it!
I will show you mine next week!

Layout

I really thought this layout would have more coral in it. The color didn't come through as much as the other colors. Nonetheless, here is my interpretation of the color combination from last week.

New Stuff

Amongst more Webster Pages product, and Making Memories Just Chillin product we have received the Binderie by 7Gypsies.  This tool is a preset hole punch, where you don't have to do the work.  You push the button and the Binderie electronically punches holes for you - measured out equidistant from the other holes.  It will punch chipboard, several sets of cardstock and other type materials.  Take a peek at this video to give you an idea how to use it and come by the store to see the Binderie 'in person.'

Sketch and Layout

A layout from last week's sketch.  I used a large suitcase as the background to highlight the photos.   The paper's are also Graphic 45 pattern papers.

These Colours

This week we have another colour combination, next week, I may just work with word association again....but this week back to color..again.  These colors are quite bright and bold, something I tend not to work with, but depending on how much of each of these colors you use in your layout will determine just how bold or softly subtle the layout will be.  Next week, the layout using these colours...

New Product

We received Stampers Anonymous' Tim Holtz Designs clingable stamps in the store and ever since, I have been playing around with them. The clingables are an excellent alternative to rubber stamps.  They are exactly like acrylics, however, still red rubber allowing for great detail, but cling to the acrylic blocks.  This allows you to still see where you want to stamp.
You should give these stamps a try for yourself.  Until then, here is an image of what I have done with the stamps and other Tim Holtz' products.
