New Product Today

Today, I generally create a sketch, however becuase we just received some really neat product I wanted to highlight the product instead.
In store, we have, just released, My Mind's Eye new lines', Making Memories spring and easter line and Imginisce' new beach line.
These are inspiring little pieces...take a peek...

Just wanted to note as well: Our Reflections Mirror Album went really well. Thank you everyone for attending.

Word Association

I thought of something the other day, when I was looking for new product to order. Then, I thought, ... I think this may be an idea for the blog?
Well, remember word association games? How does this correlate to scrapbooking, you may ask? Like this, I am going to give a word and then you will associate it with other words (of course) to create a layout.
For example,

CHILLIN'

what does this conjure? For me, relaxing, hot weather, cold weather (b/c we were in a deep freeze here), thoughts of hot weather, hanging out in front of the fireplace, singing around the campfire, chattin' with friends, palm trees, taking photos at a museum.

Now with those descriptors, I will create a layout for next week. And, I may just use 'chillin' on the page?!

Hero Arts

We have received quite a bit of new product at the store and especially want to highlight all the newest Hero Arts stamp releases. You just have to come and see them and see how they will inspire you,,,

Colours & Sketches

Last week, I posted the colour yellow on Tuesday and a sketch on Thursday. This week I used the layout I posted to reference both entries. Our little house wren we had in the backyard just worked for this layout. The yellow implies positivity, and new beginnings, while the sketch really allowed me to highlight both photos.

The colour...yellow

Although this weather has me feeling blue i thought we would work with yellow as a bit of a 'pick me up.'
Yellow conjures thoughts of....butter (?), flowers, bumble bees, sunshine, spring...no wonder i wanted to work with yellow...it brings me out of this snowbound weather.
Yellow evokes optimism, happiness, idealism and imagination. However, while it is "considered an optimistic color, people lose their tempers more often in yellow rooms, and babies will cry more. It is the most difficult color for the eye to take in, so it can be overpowering if overused. Yellow enhances concentration, hence its use for legal pads (http://www.infoplease.com/spot/colors1.html)."
So work with yellow in your layout - maybe it is a 'baby page,' maybe it is a spring page or maybe a layout that will help you 'enhance your concentration...'

New Product

We have received new product in the store. Little Yellow Bicycle and Imaginisce.

Class Images

We now have all our images posted for our January classes at the store.
The Class Calendar has all the detailed information to register for them.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank all of you that answered our survey in December. The survey provided insight, into which, I hope to implement a few changes you will see this year for more classes offered at the store.
