Red, Orange and Brown

Here is a min-album i was working on using the colour scheme from last week. This is a mini paper bag album and inside the paper bags are photos and journal cards.

I used mainly 7Gypsies materials to complete this album, including the binderie punch, binding rings, and travel atc stickers.

Layout and Sketch

I am sorry for not posting until now. Here is the layout i stated i would post.
It has been one of those weeks....
This layout does not end up having a title as the other side of the layout has the title - "primp and dress"

Posting

Firstly, i want to apologize for not posting until now. I think most of you can attest to similar events that make you just not able to post...

I started the layout based on the sketch some time ago, however, recently i lost it. I looked everywhere and could not find the layout i was working on for the sketch. Until now. So it is complete, however now my camera battery is dead. So that is now charging. Therefore, i won't have the layout up until this evening.

Again, I apologize for being a few days late with that layout. However, sometimes, these things just happen.

A colour Scheme

I am currently working on a mini travel album. The colours seem to be very rich and vibrant, especially when working with the blue in combination with orange and brown. You may look at these colours and think: "too retro." However, use these colours in combination and the vibrancy will 'lift your work off the paper.'

I will show you the completed work next week.

New Product

We have received the newest Making Memories lines in store. Their Great Escape line is full of world travel and beach themes. As well, the Slice machine has more cartridges too.

Challenge

2 weeks ago, I created a word association for the word, challenge. I think for this one, anything goes...
Merrie, one of the instructors at our store, had taught an album class recently. In the album class, she mentioned she was going to create a year in review with a lot of the leftover pieces. Now, this is a challenge! She had a bunch of month die-cut pieces, therefore she used them to create a one picture per month, 12 photo layout.

Sketch = Layout

My version of last week's sketch. The garage sale was in the summer so I swayed from my usual, neutral palette towards a brighter, 'airier' feel - purples, blues and yellows. It feels cool, fresh and warm.

Garden and Tattered Angels Class

I am foregoing our regular post today to announce a class we are doing in July - July 2, Thursday.
This class is an excellent technique class for using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists, Masks and Stencils, and Acrylic Stamps.
You will learn to use all these products and using the Glimmer Mists with Stamps, definitely a neat technique. What's more, you receive the stamps, glimmer mists, stencils and album in your kit!

New Product

We received Little Yellow Bicycle Traveller product in store - this is such an enticing release of travel papers and stickers for any destination. We have also received Bo Bunny Press's latest release and have new additions of Doodlebug.

Word Association

I have been trying to think of a good word for word association today. Finally, i thought of it....

CHALLENGE

It was a challenge for me to think of a word, I have been thinking about creating a challenge card sketch and sometimes life can be challenging...so many interpretations and ways to use the word.
