My layout...from the American Apparel post I had last week. Photos on the right - not as big and bold, but definitely photos! And then, large type on the left. I kinda like the way it turned out.
It has been an overwhelming week here. We found out tonight a girl we train with lost her husband unexpectedly this past week. Watching the Olympics too, Joannie of figure skating, lost her mom unexpectedly, not to mention the Georgian luge Olympian's death. To hear all of this, makes me think how truly blessed we are to have the people in our lives that care for us and surround us with their love; that give their heart and soul to make our lives more bearable, wholesome, and loving. Times, like these, truly make me reflect and thank God and all in my life for simply, being. I will reflect and tell myself, to never leave angry and never miss out on an opportunity to tell those I love, that I am thinking of them. Please, consider doing the same.
p.s. i will post my layout from last week's image later this week.
We received the fist shipment of American Crafts, including, Dear Lizzy: Elizabeth Kartchner's new line. We also received My Mind's Eye, Lush and Lil Robots amongst others and more. You will have to come take a look at the grandeur of the Lush, the fresh, fun and bight feel of American Crafts and the overjoy of the Lil Robots and Miss Muffet.
We had Valentine's Day, we had Family Day and boy oh boy... we are having gold and every medal day! (that is if you are watching the Olympics)! Go Canada Go! and all the countries and their incredible athletes. You truly have to be at the top of your game and i have been so caught up in watching it all. Canada we should be proud!
I also hope that you had a wonderful Valentines and expressed your love to your families on Family Day (in ALberta).
To show my gratitude and love, I thought I would make fortunes. Check out my totally hip vid on how to make fortune cookies, because we all know it isn't about the cookie, but really, the fortunes!
This is our superb suitcase set, set for February 17 - this coming Wednesday! I love this 'chic' little set. You can use it to store goodies of yours on your desktop as well as cards. You see, the bottom suitcase is divided to allow cards, stamps, pens and stationery to be set in. Keep if for yourself or give it to someone as a gift, either way, its is superb!
I have had this ad for quite some time and have taken a liking to it, quite a bit! What type layout will you create based on it? What kind of inspiration to you gather?
I am looking at the bold type, the grey and a touch of pink colour, as well as the definitive split in graphics. My layout will be posted next week.
It is hard to believe, that 5 years is up and running for my store. When I started, I said, "I will take it as it comes and hopefully things will turn out." I think things have turned out okay. Thank you to all who continue to support me on this journey of preserving our life stories for years to come.
Come help us celebrate this Saturday!
We will have coffee and cookies; make & takes and of course our sale!
